FAYETTE | Irene Wright McCafferty Kizzire, age 89, of Fayette, died November 29, 2014, at Fayette Medical Center. Services will be 3 p.m. Monday, December 1, 2014, at Southside Baptist Church in Fayette with Rev. Robert Parrish officiating. Burial will follow in Carrollton City Cemetery with Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the church. The body will lie in state 30 minutes prior to services. She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Olene McCulley and Frances Newcomb; and brothers, Sam Henry Wright, Ervin Wright and Stewart Wright.Survivors include her husband, Billy Kizzire; sons, Walter L. "Butch" McCafferty (Rita), Michael E. McCafferty (Patricia), and David Mark McCafferty (Tori); daughters, Kim Kizzire Newton and Tami Kizzire Howard; brother, James E. Wright (Billie Jean); six grandchildren, Allison Owens (Adams), Will McCafferty (Cassie), Jennifer McFarland (Tim), Jessica McCafferty, Tyler Black and Anna James; nine great-grandchildren, Luke, Zeke, Cade, Grayson, Audrey, Gavin, Brooks, Paisley and Lydia; and numerous nieces and nephews.Irene was born October 18, 1925 in Carrollton, Alabama to the late William Alvin A. Wright and Pearl Jones Wright. She was a member of Southside Baptist Church in Fayette, Ala., a retired employee of Huyck Felt Company and a well-known resident of Pickens and Fayette County. Pallbearers will be Wayne Gilliam, Gary Davis, Mark Brown, Charles Cummings, Joe Cotton and Raymond Parker.Honorary pallbearers are Hack Barnes, Sr., Adult Sunday School Class at Southside Baptist and Aaron "Ace" Taylor.In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to Southside Baptist Church, P.O.
