Irene Wilkerson Lane, age 98, of Kennedy, AL died December 19, 2025 at her residence.  Funeral services will be 11:00 am Monday, December 22, 2025 at Millport Church of Christ, 385 Columbus Street, Millport, AL 35576 with James Hall officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Church of Christ Cemetery in Steens, MS with Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing. Visitation will be one hour prior and immediately following the service at the church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Horace Lane; son, Wilburn Eugene "Gene" Lane; her parents; brother, Oscar Wilkerson and granddaughter, Carrie Wrightson.
Survivors include her daughter, Jackie Lowery and husband, Ken; daughter-in-law, Debbie Lane; three grandchildren, Tina Duffy (Derek), Lance Lowery (Holly) and Bill McGrinn (Catherine); thirteen great-grandchildren, Brooke Sullivan (Alex), Brianna Gore (Chase), Jesse Lang, Lane Lowery, Lily Lowery, Elizabeth McGrinn, Stella McGrinn, Luke McGrinn, Kassedy Wrightson, Hunter Wrightson, Emma Dyes (Mason), Brock Duffy and Caden Duffy (Katanna) and six great-great grandchildren, Grayson Sullivan, Maverick Sullivan, Slade Sullivan, Charlotte Dyes, Lucy Dyes and Julia Dyes.
Irene was born November 10, 1927 in Columbus, Mississippi to the late George Wilkerson and Ellie Hall Wilkerson.  She was a member of Millport Church of Christ and a retired employee of Huyck Felt.
Pallbearers will be Lane Lowery, Jesse Lang, Brock Duffy, Alex Sullivan and Chase Gore.
