CARROLLTON - Jack Stanley Sauceman, age 80, of Carrollton, died February 8, 2017, at home. A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, February 11, 2017, at Skelton Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Mike Hall officiating. A private burial will follow at Carrollton Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the memorial service.He was preceded in death by his parents, James Alvin and Annabelle Sauceman; daughter, Tisa Sauceman; brothers, Carl Sauceman, John Paul Sauceman and Barney Sauceman; and sisters,Imogene Day, Margaret Smith and Martha Louise Sudduth.Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Santha Shields Sauceman; daughter, Jackie Sauceman Finney; grandchildren, Meredith Finney Kirk (Tyson) and William Stanley Finney (Hillary); great-grandchildren, Anna Elisabeth Kirk and Callie Faith Kirk; brother, James Alvin Sauceman, Jr. (Jeanne Marie) of Greenville, Tenn. and special nephew, Jonathan Sauceman (Linda) also of Greenville, Tenn.Jack was born September 23, 1936 in Greenville, Tenn. He moved to Pickens County at the age of 15 where he met the love of his life. He is a former member of the bluegrass group, Carl Sauceman and The Green Valley Boys. He loved his bluegrass music. Jack was self-employed and enjoyed his work at Sauceman Electric for 48 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and working outdoors at The Dinky Line Hunting Club. Jack was a loving, caring and Godly family man. He loved spending time and making memories with his special family and friends.Pallbearers will be Mark Elmore, Mike Elmore, Doug Goodman, Stephen Junkin, Ken Parham and Jonathan Sauceman.Honorary pallbearers are James Bridges, Bobby Brock, Mike Farmer, Glen Holsonback, Bobby Shields, Jeff Snyder, Melton Sutton, Dr. Stephen Browne and staff, Dr. William A Hill, Jr. and staff, Pickens County Home Health Care (Kathy Taylor) and Hospice of West Alabama.In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations be made to Hospice of West Alabama, 3851 Loop Road, Tuscaloosa, AL 35404.
