Obituary

Jackson Nathaniel "Jack" Plowman, age 16 of Gordo, AL passed away September 10, 2024 at his residence. Funeral services will be 2:00 pm  Monday, September 16, 2024  at St. Francis of Assisi University Parish with Fr. Tom Ackerman officiating. A private family burial will follow the service with Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing. Visitation will be Sunday, September 15, 2024 at Skelton Funeral Home from 6-8 P.M.
He is preceded in death by his great- grandparents, Harvey Lee Plowman and Harry Labhart, Jean Labhart of Port Deposit, MD, Paulino and Alicia Caceres of Yuscaran, El Paraiso Honduras, Wester and Frances Elmore of Gordo, AL.
Jackson is survived by his parents; sister, Josie Plowman of Gordo, AL; brother, Joel Plowman of Gordo, AL; grandparents, Dennis and Teresa Plowman of Gordo, AL, and Harry and Julieta Labhart of Gordo, AL; great grandparents, Bobbie Plowman of Gordo, AL and Billie Labhart of Aberdeen, MD; and a number of aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Jack was born October 2, 2007 in Northport, Alabama to Heath Plowman and Chrissy Plowman he was a member of St. Roberts Bellarmine Catholic Church in Reform and a 11th grade student at Gordo High School. He was an avid outdoorsman and sports fan. Jack loved anything to do with hunting, fishing, and Gordo sports. He was an active member of Boy Scout Troop 17 and hoped one day to obtain his Eagle Scout. Jack never met a stranger and always treated everyone with respect. We would like to thank everyone that loved and prayed for Jack. All Jack ever wanted was to be a kid. A special thanks goes out to Kidz Outdoors, Catch- A- Dream Foundation, Hunt With the Stars, and anyone else who took Jack hunting or fishing. We would also like to thank Smile- A- Mile for everything they have done for him, he loved the organization with every being he had. Also, we would like to give a special thanks to Dr. Whelan, Dr. Buckingham, and all the other doctors and nurses who treated Jack over the years. Jack will be missed by many, and hoped he touched your lives like he did ours. We know he had his ultimate healing, he didn't lose his battle, he won.
Pallbearers will be Tanner Carroll, Bob Carroll, Joel Plowman, Lawson Bledsoe, Jacob Box, Jacob Bejarano, Johnny Bejarano Jr., and Benjamin Labhart.
Honorary Pallbearers will be GHS Junior Class and Career Center welding class.
