Obituary

Jamelle Moss Sutton, age 66, of Gordo, AL passed away August 12, 2021 at UAB Hospital Palliative Care in Birmingham. Funeral services will be 3:00 pm Sunday, August 15, 2021 at Mount Pleasant Baptist Church with Rev. Geoff Elrod and Rev. Jordan Lollar officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing. Visitation will be one hour prior and immediately following the service at the church.
She was preceded in death by baby daughter, Michelle; her parents and brothers, Brantley Moss and Wendell Moss.
Survivors include her husband of 47 years, Jerry Sutton; son, Scott Sutton and wife, Michelle; grandson, Sage Sutton; granddaughter, Era Kate Sutton; brothers, John Moss (Sherry), James Moss (Jewel), Newell Moss (Melba) and Malcolm Moss (Wanda) and sisters-in-law, Annie Sue Moss, Peggy Sutton Smith (Gewin) and Frances Sutton McCool (Randy).
Jamelle was born December 7, 1954 in Reform, Alabama to the late William Harold Moss and Vista Ligon Moss. She was a lifelong resident of Pickens County and was retired from CVS after 38 years as a pharmacy tech.
Jamelle was saved at an early age and recently rededicated her life, surrounded by her family.
Pallbearers will be Wayne Moss, Harold Moss, Darrell Moss, Garth Moss, Sage Sutton and Sean Jarvis.
Honorary Pallbearers are her CVS crew.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials to Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church, 3425 County Road 21, Gordo, AL 35466
