ECHOLA | James Paul Barrett, age 63, of Echola, Ala., died December 16, 2015, at Northport Medical Center. Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, December 19, 2015, at Corinth Baptist Church with Bro. Larry Woods officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing. Visitation will be one hour prior to service at the church.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Peggy Banks and Jean Bridges; and brother-in-law, High Banks.
Survivors include his daughter, Tracy Sanders (Jimbo); grandchildren, Chelsea Burchett and Laci Sanders; niece, Kathy Taylor (Billy); and nephews, Scott Banks (Krissy), Terry Banks and Greg Bridges.
Mr. Barrett was born March 10, 1952 in Tuscaloosa County, Alabama to the late John Dora Barrett and Stella Jones Barrett.
Paul was a lifelong and well-known resident of the Echola community, a longtime log truck driver and quite possibly the most aggravating human being God ever put on this earth. He loved to prank and was very fun loving. He lived life the way he chose and made no apologies. May he rest in peace.
Pallbearers will be Dennis Barrett, Lonnie Barrett, Lannie Estes, Robert Phillips, Billy Taylor and Donnie Oswalt.
Honorary pallbearers are Charlie Watkins, Mary Plowman Barrett and friends of the Echola community.
