James Curry Bennett, age 60, of Echola, AL died January 25, 2025 at his residence.  Memorial services will be 12:00 noon Saturday, February 1, 2025 at Shady Grove Baptist Church, 9308 County Road 26, Bankston, AL with his son, Bro. Curry Bennett officiating.  Skelton Funeral Home of Reform is handling all arrangements.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Johnny Bennett.
Survivors include his daughter, Sonya Goree (Scottie); two sons, Curry Bennett (Emily) and Kendall Bennett (Chelsea); brother, Stanley Bennett (Betty); sisters, Sherry Hall, Susan Mozingo and Stacy Bennett (Sammy Channell) and ten grandchildren, Emma Bennett, Lee Goree, Chloe Bennett, Kyndall Bennett, Preston Goree, Stella Bennett, Crews Bennett, Lettie Bennett, Matt Goree and Asa Bennett.
James was born December 23, 1964 in Dayton, Ohio to the late J. C. Bennett and Nelsie Marie Tillman Bennett.  He was a member of the Baptist faith and a self-employed contractor.
