ALICEVILLE | James Holly Donaldson, age 88, of Aliceville, died May 25, 2015, at Aliceville Manor Nursing Home. Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, May 30, 2015, at Dogwood Chapel, 200 5th St. N.E.in Aliceville,with Bro. Randy Sudduth officiating. Burial will follow in Magnolia Memorial Gardens with Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Irma Dean Donaldson; parents; brother, Buddy; and three sisters, Maxine, Beatrice, and Ernestine.He is survived by his daughters, Carol Perkins of Aliceville, Ala. and Janet Donaldson of Cincinnati, Ohio, and granddaughter, Emily Lee.Mr. Donaldson was born July 29, 1926 in Pickens County, Alabama, to the late Henry Donaldson and Essie Sullivan Donaldson. He was a self-employed commercial fisherman, a United States Army veteran, and a lifelong resident of Pickens County.
