REFORM | James Dewey Doughty, Jr., age 82, of Reform, died February 19, 2015, at Sansing Country Home. Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, February 21, 2015, at Skelton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ralph Smith and Rev. Mike Hall officiating. Burial will follow in Graham Memorial Cemetery with Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing. Visitation will be one hour prior and immediately following the service at the funeral home.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Doris Jane Connell Doughty and his parents.
Survivors include his son, Jimmy Doughty and wife, Tammy of Reform, Ala.; step-grandson, Jessie Lindsey of Fayette, Ala; and step-great-grandson, Tyler Lindsey.
Mr. Doughty was born March 23, 1932 in Reform, Alabama to the late James D. Doughty, Sr. and Nellie Elizabeth Rozzelle Doughty. He was a member of Friendship Baptist Church and a retired machinist at Westinghouse. James was also a retired self-employed truck driver, a U.S. Air Force veteran and a lifelong resident of Pickens County.
