James "Caveman" Eichelberger, age 63, of Buhl. AL died September 12, 2025 at his residence. Funeral services will be 11:00 am Tuesday, September 16, 2025 at Skelton Funeral Home Chapel with Chaplin David Bolin officiating. Burial will be in Center Springs Cemetery in Gordo with Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing. Visitation will be one hour prior and immediately following the service at the funeral home.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Robert Dyer and grandchildren, Sammi Bingham, Bella Glaze and Waylon Glaze.
Survivors include his wife of 24 years, Darlene Dockery Eichelberger; daughters, Terry McCoy (Nick), Nikki Bingham (Luke), Juanita Wilder (Bradley), Bobbie Glaze and Billie Glaze (Darlene); sons, Travis Eichelberger and Nathan Glaze (Amanda); brothers, Byron, David and John (Glenda); sisters, Barbara, Debbie (Sam) and Brenda (David); twenty-one grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
James was born June 20, 1962 in Arlington, Texas to the late Byron Lee Eichelberger and Daphne Bond Eichelberger. He was a member of Peterson Community Church and a retired truck driver for Don Dell, Inc.
Pallbearers will be Travis Eichelberger, Nathan Glaze with Laikynn Glaze, Kylie Griffin, J. T. Huey, Jessie Huey and Ezar Brooks.
Honorary Pallbearers are Melvin Henson, past and present employees of Don Dell, Inc. and Southern Care New Beacon Hospice. Special thanks to Stacey Jones and Shamoka Wilder.
