MILLPORT – James Harry Fields, Sr., age 73, died December 21, 2016 at DCH Regional Medical Center. Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, December 24, 2016 at Skelton Funeral Home Chapel of Reform with Rev. Ken Dawkins and Rev. Chester Shaw officiating. Burial will follow in Greenhill Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be one hour prior and immediately following service at the funeral home.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Margie Elmore Fields; son, James H. Fields Jr. and his parents.
Survivors include his daughters, Dawn Fields (Keith) of Millport, Ala., Tiffany Fields of Baldwin, MS; son, Shane Fields of Baldwin, MS; grandchildren, Jasmine, Hunter and Holden Fields; and great-grandchildren, Kerah, Hayden and Kayden Harton.
Mr. Fields was born April 28, 1943 in Columbus, Mississippi to the late James Duke Fields and Vonceil Cash Fields. He was a graduate of Millport High School, a member of Mt. Pleasant Church of Christ and a retired employee of General Tire with over 30 years of service.
Pallbearers will be Hunter Fields, Holden Fields, Fred Williams, Tyran Harton, and Nathan Brown.
