James Wiley Howard, age 89, of Reform, AL, died December 01, 2018 at his residence. Funeral
services will be 2:00 pm Tuesday, December 4, 2018 at New Salem Baptist Church with Rev. Mike
Hall officiating. Burial will follow in Graham Memorial Cemetery with Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing.
Visitation will be one hour prior and immediately following the service at the church.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Bernice Free Howard; his parents; two brothers and one sister.
Survivors include his daughter, Cathy Galbreath of Reform, AL; two grandchildren, Nikki Galbreath
and Shane Galbreath (Amber); three great-grandchildren, Brad (Casey), Ashlynn and Alanna; two great-great
grandchildren, Haven and Aria and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Mr. Howard was born October 18, 1929 in Aliceville, Alabama to the late Aaron Andrew Howard, Sr.
and Eloise Garner Howard. He was a member of Reform First Baptist Church and retired manager of Reform
Furniture Mart with 38 years of service. James was a veteran of the U. S. Army and a life long resident of
Pickens County.
Pallbearers will be Brad Jackson, Kyle Parham, Tommy Williams, Jarrod Howard, Derrell Galbreath,
Joe Humphreys and Lee Dunn.
Honorary Pallbearers are Ricky Parham and Terry Atkin.
