BUHL - James Roy Jones, age 71, of Buhl, Ala., passed away June 2, 2018 at Hospice of West Alabama. Services will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 5, 2018, at Skelton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Don Springer and Rev. Wesley Robertson officiating. Burial will follow in Bethany Baptist Church Cemetery with Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing. Visitation will be immediately following the service at the funeral home.
He was preceded in death by his parents, George Jones and Sarah Mills Jones.
Survivors include his wife, Effie Lucretia Jones; daughter, Angela Kay Robertson (Tony); sons, James Steven Jones (Angie) and George Scott Jones; brother, Robert D. Jones (Nell); eight grandchildren, Heather Jones (Matt), Haley Noland (Chance), Lyla Jones, Luke Robertson (Savannah), Hannah LeCroy (Craig), Heath Jones, Logan Robertson and Rilyn Jones; eight great-grandchildren; uncles, Paul Mills, Jr. and William "Bill" Mills; former daughter-in-law, Kelley Parker Jones; brother-in-law, Roy Mullenix (Peggy); nephew, Michael Jones and nieces, Tabitha Jones Dubose, Tammy Howell (Bryan) and Tina Watson (Bryan).
Pallbearers will be Luke Robertson, Logan Robertson, Heath Jones, Chance Noland, Craig LeCroy, Matt Templeton and Michael Jones
