REFORM - James Robert Junkin, age 89, of Reform, Ala., passed away June 4, 2018 at his residence. Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, June 7, 2018, at Skelton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bobbye Jean Hagler officiating. Burial will follow in Greenhill Memorial Gardens with Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. tonight, June 6, 2018, at the funeral home.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Kathleen Burkhalter Junkin; his parents, brother, Richard Junkin; granddaughter, Vicky Jolene Junkin; and daughter-in-law, Patricia Roberts Junkin.
Survivors include his daughter, Katherine

(Larry); sons, Wayne Junkin (Carol), Kenneth Junkin (Kay) and Daniel Junkin (Libby); sister, Margaret Lloyd; brother, Raymond Junkin (Martha); eleven grandchildren; and eleven great-grandchildren.
Mr. Junkin was born May 8, 1929 in Pickens County, Alabama to the late James Monroe and Valeria Bailey Junkin. He was a member of Unity Grove United Methodist Church and a retired employee of Shelton State Community College in Tuscaloosa, Ala.
Pallbearers will be Tim McKinley, Bobby Junkin, Kendall Junkin, Kevin Junkin, Ethan McKinley and Lane McKinley.
Honorary pallbearers are Amedisys Home Health and Amedisys Hospice, Nicki Rivas, Amanda Burns, Becky Duckworth, Kate Shelton, Norma Junkin, Carol James, retirees of Shelton State Community College and friends of Palmetto community.
