James Freddie Oglesby, age 85, of Reform, AL died July 22, 2026 at Arbor Woods Health and Rehab. Graveside services will be 10:00 am Saturday, July 25, 2026 at Cross Roads Baptist Church Cemetery in Carrollton with Bro. Joe Fondren officiating and Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing. Visitation will follow the service in the church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Estelle Oglesby; his son, Richard Oglesby; brother, Girlie Hill Oglesby and sister, Roberta Reece.

Survivors include his wife, Brenda Howard Oglesby; his daughter, Lisa Oglesby of Smyrna, GA and his son, Jarrod Oglesby of Reform.

James was born August 16, 1940 in Carrollton, Alabama to the late Richard Sabley Oglesby and Estelle Perrigin Oglesby. He was a retired supervisor at McShan Lumber Company and a lifelong resident of Pickens County.

Pallbearers will be Rufus Wilkins, Jason Wilkins, Justin Wilkins, Josh Wilkins, Mathew Wilkins and Mike Yarbrough.

Honorary Pallbearers are Carol Morgan, Mone Adams, Anita Ruffin and employees of Alabama Hospice Care of Tuscaloosa.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials to Cross Roads Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, c/o Kaye Bonner, 56 Providence Road, Reform, AL 35481.
