REFORM - James Harold Pugh, age 74, of Reform, Ala., passed away January 7, 2018 at Pickens County Medical Center. Services will be 3 p.m. Tuesday, January 9, 2018, at New Salem Baptist Church with Rev. Mike Hall officiating. Burial will follow in Greenhill Memorial Gardens with Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing. Visitation will be one hour prior to and immediately following the service at the church.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his daughter-in-law, Tara Pugh.
Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Driver Pugh; sons, Gene Pugh (Maren), Chris Pugh and Jeff Pugh; brother, Paul Gene Pugh (Helen); five grandchildren, Abby Pugh Sanders (Cory), Jordan Pugh, Deana Pugh, Gabriel Pugh and Jaymee Pugh; and one great-grandchild, Brody Sanders.
James was born July 15, 1943 in Reform, Alabama to the late Rubel Pugh and Euline Caraway Pugh. He was a member of the New Salem Baptist Church, a retired civil engineer and a maintenance supervisor for the Alabama Department of Transportation and a life-long resident of Pickens County.
Pallbearers will be Dennis Pugh, Barry Smitherman, Ron Cameron, Doug Pugh, Keith Pugh and Kevin Pugh.
