GORDO – James Marion Robertson, age 75, died February 27, 2017 at his residence. Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, March 2, 2017 at Skelton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Wesley Robertson and Rev. Randall Lynn officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant Grove ""Bump"" Cemetery with Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing. Visitation will be one hour prior to and immediately following service at the funeral home.He was preceded in death by his parents, grandson, Donald Robertson; son-in-law, Joe Swedenburg and sister, Icie Pearson.Survivors include his wife, Betty Sue Robertson; daughters, Darlene Robertson Tennyson (Wayne), Tammy Robertson Walker (David); son, James Carl Robertson; sister, Annie Mae Redd; brother, Archie Robertson (Linda); a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.Mr. Robertson was born October 15, 1941 in Tuscaloosa County, Alabama to the late Pervie Orgae Robertson and Dessie Mae Driver Robertson. He attended Sardis Free Will Baptist Church and was a retired logger. James was also a lawn care specialist who deeply appreciated his customers' trust in him and their loyalty.Pallbearers will be Joseph Tennyson, Nathan Swedenburg, Jamey Browning, Hank Robertson, Brad Robertson and Earl Johnson.Honorary pallbearers are staff of Amedisys Hospice.In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to St. Jude's Children's Hospital 501 St. Jude's Place.
