James Ervin Thomas, age 74, of Reform, AL passed away August 18, 2024 at his residence.  Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Wednesday, August 21, 2024 at Skelton Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Mike Hall officiating.  Burial will be in Arbor Springs Baptist Church Cemetery with Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing. Visitation will be one hour prior and immediately following the service at the funeral home.
He was preceded in death by his parents; half-brothers, Ronald Thomas and Henry Thomas and half-sister, Renae Thomas.
Survivors include his wife, Elaine Ferguson Thomas; two daughters, Pamela Watkins (Ryan) of Millport and Jennifer Shelton (Christopher) of Reform; two sons, Mark Thomas (Collet) and Paul Thomas (Melissa), both of Reform; brother, Wayne Thomas; half-sisters, Mary Newell (Benny) and Charlotte Thomas; eleven grandchildren, Dustin Thomas, Makayla Thomas, Courtney Thomas, Kaci Watkins, Katelyn Thomas, Hunter Watkins, Jessica Thomas, Blake Shelton, Nick Shelton, Joseph Shelton and Allison Shelton and eight great-grandchildren.
James was born March 8, 1950 in Millport, Alabama to the late Jessie Thomas and Ella Mae Owens Thomas.  He was a member of New Salem Baptist Church and retired after 40 years working as a truck driver.
Pallbearers will be Blake Shelton, Nick Shelton, Chris Thomas, Ryan Black, Jimmy Bonner and Riley Elliott.
