Jane Jeanette Simpson Oliver, age 96, of Reform, AL passed away October 9, 2021 at Arbor Woods Health and Rehab. Funeral services will be 3:00 pm Wednesday, October 13, 2021 at Skelton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. David Blakney officiating. Burial will follow in Bethel Cemetery with Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing. Visitation will be one hour prior and immediately following the service at the funeral home.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John A. Oliver; her parents; brothers, J. T. Simpson, Jr., Kent Simpson and Ben Simpson and sisters, Ruby Ryan and Joanne Caston.
Survivors include her sons, Mike Oliver of Cocoa, FL and Robert Oliver (Barbara) of Los Angeles CA; three grandchildren, John Rios (Jessy), Kyle Oliver and Kayla Oliver; five great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
Mrs. Oliver was born August 25, 1925 in Stansel, Alabama to the late John T. Simpson, Sr. and Gertrude Jennings Simpson. She was a 1944 graduate of Pickens County High School and was a " Rosie the Riveter" named to honor the hard-working women that kept American factories and shipyards productive during World War II. Jane was a retired dental hygienist and a member of Carrollton Baptist Church.
