Janice Elmore Snipes, age 71, of Gordo, AL passed away December 18, 2022 at her home. Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Wednesday, December 21, 2022 at Flatwoods Baptist Church with Bro. Ryan James officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing. Visitation will follow the service in the church Fellowship Hall.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Bill Snipes; her parents and brother, Paul Elmore.
Survivors include her sons, Ben Snipes (Amanda) and Joe Snipes; two grandchildren, Logan Snipes and Alaina Snipes; her brothers, Kenneth Elmore (Dian) and Randy Elmore; sister, Patty Thompson (Harold); a number of nieces and nephews and a host of friends and relatives.
Janice was born November 4, 1951 in Reform, Alabama to the late James Elmore and Mary Ruth Hall Elmore. She graduated from Gordo High School in 1970, worked in the garment industry for many years and retired from Phifer Wire. Janice attended Browns Chapel Church of God of Prophecy. She loved her family and was very proud of her grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Daniel Elmore, Josh Elmore, Jamie Roberts, Logan Snipes, Clifton Windham and John Windham.
