COTTONDALE Jerry Wayne Barger, age 55, of Cottondale, died Sept. 28, 2013, at Hospice of West Alabama. Services will be 2 p.m. today, Sept. 30, 2013, at First United Pentecostal Church with Rev. Emmett Smith and Rex Hudson officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Hill Gardens in Tuscaloosa with Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing. Visitation will be one hour prior and immediately following the service at the church.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, April Barger; and his uncles, Lathen, Bite, and Danny Barger.

Survivors include his wife Brenda Hill Barger; son, Buck Barger (Kala); daughter, Amber Barger; sister, Gloria Lee (Tony); father, Jerry Carl Barger; mother, Geraldine Brewer Barger; eight grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. .
