Obituary

Jerry Donald Pritchett age 77 of Gordo, passed away January 15, 2021 in Carrollton, Alabama. Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Monday, January 18, 2021 at Emmanuel Baptist Church with Rev. Hershel Owen and Bro. Bruce Boswell officiating. Burial will follow in the Gordo City Cemetery with Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing. Visitation will be immediately following the service at the church. The family requests that masks be worn due to Covid 19.

He was preceded in death by his wife Johnnie Theresa Flanary Pritchett; son,  Doug Pritchett; his parents; a sister, Barbara Nell Lee and a brother Richard Pritchett.

Survivors include two daughters, Kim Pritchett Driver and Carmen Parker; brother, Jimmy Pritchett (Jewel); brother-in-law, Fred Lee ( Mary Ann); 5 grandchildren, Christopher Pritchett, Hal Driver, Meredith Driver, Nola Driver and Zoe' Gray; special friend, Bonnie Elmore and a number of nieces and nephews.

Donald was born October 10, 1943 to the late George Hubert Pritchett and Mary Lois Skelton Pritchett. Donald was a member of the Gideons Pickens County Camp, a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church, and a retired veteran of the U.S. Army National Guard.

Pallbearers will be Alex Lagrone, Mason Lagrone, Lance Lambert, Lance Cooper, Tommy Ritts, and Skip Sutton.     Honorary Pallbearers will be Members of the Gideons Pickens County Camp, Jet Pep coffee group, Pickensville coffee group, and his Pickensville Campground buddies.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests all memorials be made to The Gideons, P.O. Box 287, Carrollton, AL 35447.
