Obituary

Jimmie Alvin Marlowe, age 86, of Aliceville, AL passed away November 7, 2018 at Walker Baptist
Medical Center in Jasper, AL. Skelton Funeral Home of Reform is handling all arrangements.
He is survived by his daughters, Jo Ann Marlowe-Swink (Johnny) and Bonnie Sue Smith (Patrick);
four grandchildren, Tracy Thomas, Christina Winstead, James Smith and Karen Taylor; seven great-
grandchildren; his sister, Gloria Sullivan and sister-in-law, Margie Marlowe.
Jimmie was born May 24, 1932 in Aliceville, Alabama to the late Jessie Marlowe and Mattie
Lou Burnille Marlowe. Jimmie was a veteran of the U. S. Air Force serving during the Korean War.
He worked at Westinghouse in Reform, AL for 30 years along side his late wife, Addie Marlowe. For
almost 60 years, they lived their life together with family and friends. Hunting, fishing, family and hard
work was their life.
Gardening was his passion. He would say, "I've got the prettiest garden in Pickens County." He
will be missed and the stories he would tell of his adventures will be remembered.
Upon Jimmie's request, a service will not be held. His family will gather at a date yet to
be determined.
