NORTHPORT – Joe Ethard Dickson, age 79, of Northport, died December 16, 2016, at Hospice of West Alabama. Services will be 2 p.m. Monday, December 19, 2016, at Cross Roads Baptist Church, Carrollton, Ala. with Bro. Joe Fondren and Bro. Dan O' Mary officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing. Visitation will be one hour prior and immediately following the service.He was preceded in death by his son, Bobby Joe Dickson; his parents; and one brother, Troy Dickson.Survivors include his wife of 36 years, Mamie Harcrow Dickson; son, Tommy Dickson and his wife, Brandy; daughters, Brenda St. Pierre and husband, John and Kim Poole and husband, Joseph; three sisters, Fife, Virginia and Glenda; one brother, Billy; five grandchildren, Josh, David, Chris, Bobbie Jo and Brody; one great-granddaughter, Kennedy; and a number of nieces and nephews. Joe Ethard Dickson was born April 8, 1937 to the late Ethard Dickson and Lestie Manasco Dickson. He was a member of Cross Roads Baptist Church where he taught Sunday school and held several offices in the church. He was a retired employee of B.F. Goodrich. Pallbearers will be Brody Dickson, Wayne Dickson, Josh Poole, David St. Pierre, Chris St. Pierre, Danny O'Mary, Mickey McCrackin and Jarrod McCrackin. Honorary pallbearers are two special neighbors, Brad and Becky Karnes, members of Cross Roads Baptist Church and staff of Hospice of West Alabama.
