John Roy Baker, age 75, of Ethelsville, AL passed away November 3, 2020 at Arbor Woods Health & Rehab. Graveside services will be 11:00 am Thursday, November 5, 2020 at Ethelsville Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. David Blakney and Rev. Craig Baker officiating and Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Paul Baker and two sisters, Dale Coleman and Elizabeth Edwards.
Survivors include his daughter, Joanne Baker Whitfield (David); two sons, Roy Baker (Marion) and Kevin Baker (April); brother, Dan Baker (Janice); sisters, Melody Dickson and Charlotte Stewart; seven grandchildren, Byron Ayers, Nicholas Whitfield, Steven Whitfield, Hayes Baker, Heath Baker, Caleb Baker and Dylan Baker and one great-grandchild, Kasen James Baker.
John was born February 5, 1945 in Banner, Mississippi to the late John Taylor Baker and Clara Head Baker. He was a retired employee of U.S. Army Corps of Engineers at Grenada Lake, MS and a veteran of the U. S. Army.
Honorary Pallbearers are his grandsons.
