John Hobson Skelton, Jr., age 78, of Reform, AL died May 16, 2026 at Northport Medical Center DCH. Graveside services will be 2:00 pm Tuesday, May 19, 2026 at New Hope Cemetery in Gordo with Rev. Terry Knopp officiating and Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing. He was preceded in death by his parents and sisters, Luvenia Ferguson and Martha Marler.

Survivors include his brothers, Jerre Skelton and Roy Skelton; brother-in-law, Marvin Ferguson; niece, Sherry Ellis and nephew, Gary Kirk.

Mr. Skelton was born May 1, 1948 in Pickens County, Alabama to the late John Hobson Skelton, Sr. and Lena Emma Phillips Skelton. He was a member of Reform Church of God, a supporter of the Jimmy Swaggart Ministries and a retired employee of the Pickens Co. Solid Waste Department..
