ALICEVILLE | John Robert "Johnny" Brandon, Jr., age 64, of Aliceville, Ala., died March 10, 2016, at DCH Regional Medical Center. Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 15, 2016, at Dogwood Chapel with Rev. Randy Sudduth officiating. Burial will follow in Franconia-Oak Grove Cemetery with Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing. Visitation will be one hour prior and immediately following service at Dogwood Chapel, 200 5th St. NE, Aliceville, Ala.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and daughter-in-law, Heather Garner Brandon.
Survivors include his son, John Robert "O-Beam" Brandon, III (Karla Krolly); four grandchildren, Gage Brandon, Tucker Brandon, Stetson Brandon and Alexis Brandon; two step-grandchildren, Morgan Krolly and Chloe Krolly; special friend, Margie Walker; and dear friend, Amy Turnipseed with whom he enjoyed his front porch talks.
Johnny was born August 16, 1951 in Aliceville, Alabama to the late John Robert Brandon, Sr. and Cora Mae Eatman Brandon. He was a retired employee of Harbert Construction Company with 35 years of service and a lifelong resident of Pickens County.
He was always a very hard working man. He enjoyed playing ball with the grandchildren, riding his motorcycle and watching Alabama Football and NASCAR.
Pallbearers are Ben Ezelle, Rodger Brown, Cliff Turnipseed, Gage Brandon, Coy Alford, Michael Walker, Steven Holliman and Timber Brown.
Honorary pallbearers will be Don Fuller, Don Corder, and staff of DCH Regional Medical Center MICU. -l
