John Lee "Johnny" Plowman, Jr., age 63, of Gordo, AL passed away May 9, 2021 at his home. Graveside services will be 2:oo pm Friday, May 14, 2021 at Zion Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery With Bro. Ryan James officiating and Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing. Visitation will follow the service at the graveside.
He was preceded in death by his father, John Lee Plowman, Sr.; mother, Ruthie Lee McCrackin Plowman Starnes; stepfather, Junior Starnes; brothers, Joe Plowman and Larry Starnes and daughter-in-law, Betsey Plowman.
Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Sandra Fay Plowman; daughter, Angela Gardner (Clifford); son, Adam Lee Plowman; brothers, James Plowman (Kim), Donald Joe Starnes (Brenda), Wayne Starnes (Candy) and Mike Starnes (Lynn); sister, Beth Fisher (Eddie) and seven grandchildren, Gracie Plowman, Peyton Plowman, Lily Lott, Lacy Lott, Jacob Lott, C. J. Gardner and J. R. Gardner.
Johnny was born October 3, 1957 in Reform, Alabama. He was a former employee of Georgia Pacific and an EMT and member of Zion Volunteer Fire Department.
