CARROLLTON – Johnny Edgar Rush, age 59, of Carrollton, Ala., died March 13, 2018, at his residence. Memorial Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, March 17, 2018, at Dogwood Chapel with Rev. Rodney Hedrick officiating and Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing. Visitation will be immediately following the service at Dogwood Chapel, 200 5th St. NE in Aliceville, Ala.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Dennis O'neil Rush.
Survivors include his wife, Sheila Wheeles Rush; son, Nicholas "Nick" Rush (Gail); daughter, Shannon Mayhew (Mark); sisters, Janet Hope Terry (Bill) and Vicki Barnes; brothers, David Jerome Rush, Jerry Heath Rush and Marlon Franklin Wedgeworth (Helen); six grandchildren, Johnmesha Mayhew, Jamie Caples, Zahkariah Manning, Cameron, Kylar and Karleigh Rush; great-grandchild, Zaiden Mayhew; two nieces; two nephews; special cousin, Denise Smith (Leon); and best friend, Clifton Jones.
Johnny was born June 28, 1958 in Starkville, Mississippi to the late Ronald Edgar Rush and Bettie Merle Beauchamp Rush. He was a former employee of McGee Lumber Company.
