Johnny Lee Winston, age 77, of Northport, AL died February 27, 2026 at Northport Medical Center DCH.  Funeral services will be 11:00 am Monday, March 2, 2026 at Skelton Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Billy Williams officiating.  Burial will be in Forest Baptist Church Cemetery in Gordo with Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing.  Visitation will be one hour prior and immediately following the service at the funeral home.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Deloris Ann "Lois" Hawthorne Winston; son, John Robert Winston and his parents.
Survivors include his daughters, Angela Davis and husband, Tommy and Teresa Averette and husband, James; son Travis Winston; brothers, Edward Winston (Cindy); sister, Wynett Walker (Jeff); four grandchildren, Cory Winston, Kelley Edwards (KJ), Gabriel Chavez (Hailey) and Christian Chavez (Heaven) and seven great-grandchildren.
Johnny was born August 27, 1948 in the Benevola community of Gordo, Alabama to the late Henry Howard Winston and Mary Louise Wilson Winston.  He was a member of Kingdom Hall Jehovah's Witness of Northport, a retired mechanic and veteran of the Army National Guard.
Honorary Pallbearers are DCH Northport ICU, Regency Retirement  and Tuscaloosa Department of Transportation employees.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials to Hospice of West Alabama, 3851 Loop Road, Tuscaloosa, AL 35404.
