GORDO | Jonas L. Homan, age 90, of Gordo, died October 22, 2015, at home. Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, October 24, 2015, at Skelton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dan Cook and Rev. Damon Rose officiating. Burial will follow in Greenhill Memorial Gardens with Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing. Visitation will be one hour prior to service at the funeral home.He was preceded in death by his parents; six brothers; and five sisters.Survivors include his wife, Martha Smith Homan; daughters, Judy Homan Mansell (Johnny), Charlotte Homan Pritchett (Milton) and Connie Homan Quimby (Kenneth); special niece; Martha Lou Peeks Porter (Wayne); sisters, Betty Sue Sanders (Mack) and Annie Ruth Anderson; seven grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; and a number of nieces and nephews.Mr. Homan was born September 23, 1925 in Millport, Ala. to the late William Jessie Homan and Mamie Bell Byars Homan. He was a retired employee with the VA Medical Center, attended Gordo Church of God of Prophecy and was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.Pallbearers will be grandsons and great grandsons, Jessie Pritchett, Austin Pritchett, Nik Driver, Shane Galloway, Jake Galloway, Cain Horton, John Mansell and Todd Pritchett.
