GREENSBORO | Joretta Blythe Wann, age 77, of Greensboro, died January 5, 2014, at Hospice of West Alabama. Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, January 8, 2014, at Skelton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Leon Orr officiating and Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the funeral home.
She was preceded in death by her parents and four sisters.
Survivors include her daughter, Pam Simpson of Greensboro, Ala.; two grandchildren, Dustin Simpson and Dallas Simpson; and special friend, Frederica K. Bishop of Columbus, Miss.
Mrs. Wann was born December 2, 1936 in Reform, Alabama to the late Joseph Blythe and Merle Carden Blythe. She was a retired employee of the State Department of Corrections, a veteran of the U.S. Army and a well known resident of both Reform and Greensboro.
Honorary pallbearers are friends at Lock 5 and employees of Hospice of West Alabama.
