GORDO - Joseph Poole, age 52, of Gordo, Ala., died June 20, 2018, at his residence. Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, June 23, 2018, at Cross Roads Baptist Church in Carrollton, Ala. with Bro. Joe Fondren and Dan O'Mary officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing. Visitation will be one hour prior and immediately following service at the church.
He was preceded in death by his parents; stepmother, Mamie Faye Poole; and brother, Jamie Poole.
Survivors include his wife, Kim Shepherd Poole; son, Josh Poole (Stephenie); sister, Denita Poole Joyce; brother, Derrick Poole; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Joseph was born December 9, 1965 in Tuscaloosa County, Alabama to the late James Earl Poole and Ronnie Aycock Poole. He was a welder for Dogan Metal Products in Tuscaloosa, Ala.
Pallbearers will be David St. Pierre, Danny O'Mary, Mickey McCrackin, Jarrod McCrackin, Shannon Johnson and Wilford Lee Shirley.
Honorary pallbearers are The Smile Design Center of Tuscaloosa and members of Cross Roads Baptist Church.
