Joshua Anthony "Josh" Poole, age 35, of Gordo, AL passed away Friday, June 18, 2021in Northport, AL. Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Friday, June 25, 2021 at Skelton Funeral Home Chapel in Reform, AL with Rev. Shawn McDaniel officiating. Burial will follow in Cross Roads Baptist Church Cemetery in Carrollton, AL with Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing. Visitation will be one hour prior and immediately following the service at the funeral home.
He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Anthony Poole; his grandparents, Donald Aaron Shepherd, Ronnie Hultz, Joe Dickson and James Earl and Faye Poole and uncle, Jamie Poole.
Survivors include his wife, Stephenie Akin Poole; mother, Kim Shepherd Poole; grandmother, Mamie Dickson; aunts and uncles, John and Brenda St. Pierre, Derrick Poole and Denita Poole Joyce; father and mother-in-law, Steve and Phenicia Akin and a number of cousins.
Josh was born November 22, 1985 in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. He was a former team leader at S. M. P. of Tuscaloosa, AL, a member of Cross Roads Baptist Church in Carrollton and a well- known resident of Gordo.
Pallbearers will be David St. Pierre, Chris St. Pierre, Jarrod McCrackin, Danny Wayne O'Mary, Brad Akin, Shannon Johnson, Terry Pope and Barry Akin.
Honorary pallbearers are Agee Chiropractic, Smile Design Center, Tuscaloosa Integrative Family Medicine and Dr. Caroline Day.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials be made to a favorite charity of your choice.
