STAPLETON Joyce Angela Beams, age 80, of Stapleton, died November 2, 2013, at North Baldwin Hospital. Services will be 11 a.m. today, November 5, 2013, at New Hope Methodist Church in Gordo with Rev. Woodie Jones officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the church.

She was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, Omelee Dyess, Emma King and Verla Mitchell; two brothers, Andrew Mosley and Rufus Mosley.

Survivors include her sons, James B. Beams, Jr. (Regina) of Gordo, Ala. and Randall Freeman Beams of Stapleton, Ala.; sisters, Sylvia Saranthus and Evelyn Head; brother, Winston Mosley; one grandchild, Dustin Beams; two step grandchildren, Bergandy Parks and Terry Parks; one step great-grandchild, Cameron Parks; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Beams was born January 5, 1933 in Bay Minette, Alabama to the late Jep Mosley and Lilly Rhoades Mosley. She was a member of Stapleton Methodist Church and a retired civil service bookkeeper for the U.S. Government.

Pallbearers will be Dustin Beams, Dwight Herring, Robert Stone, Marcus James, James Junkin and Dwayne Beams.
