Joyce Moore

April 1, 1932 – March 26, 2021
On Friday, March 26, Joyce Moore Bouchillon, passed away at the age of 88. Born April 1st, 1932 in Reform, AL to the late Mary Jo Huff, she was a caring and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, daughter, sister and aunt.
Beyond nurturing her family and loved ones Joyce enjoyed reading, gardening, sewing and cooking. A lifelong member of Reform First Baptist Church she served her community by organizing and preparing meals for families during their times of greatest need and making sure her church was adorned with fresh and colorful flowers for special occasions. Joyce retired from Westinghouse after 25 years of service and later followed her passion by serving as a librarian for the Reform Public Library, reading books and stories to countless children.
Joyce was preceded in death by her first husband, James Wansie Moore Sr. and her parents. She is survived by her husband, Will Bouchillon; her daughter, Kay Whiting (Wythe III) of Mobile, AL; two sons, James W. Moore Jr. (Julie) of Fayette, AL and Patrick R. Moore (Elizabeth) of Atlanta, GA and sister, Bobbie Jo Spain (Floyd "Pee Wee"). Joyce was blessed with eight grandchildren; Taylor (Sanji), Whitney (Andrew), Leslie (Paul), Sarah Huff, Will, Mary Katherine, Wythe IV (Heather), Palmer (Casey) and eleven great grandchildren; Clara Helen, Caleb, Anthony, Carlos, Fisher, Anderson, Palmer, Loie, Laura Katherine, Julian and Maisie.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 P.M. Friday April 2nd, 2021 at Graham Memorial Cemetery in Reform, AL with the Reverend Brannon Pinion officiating. Visitation will follow the service at the cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to the Reform Public Library (P.O. Box 819, Reform, AL 35481) or the First Baptist Church of Reform (P.O. Box 100, Reform, AL 35481).
