Lovie Joyce Ferguson, age 81, of Reform, AL passed away January 19, 2022 at Northport Medical Center. Funeral services will be 3:00 pm Sunday, January 23, 2022 at New Salem Baptist Church with Rev. Mike Hall officiating. Burial will follow in Greenhill Memorial Gardens with Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing. Visitation will be one hour prior and immediately following the service at the church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother and sisters, J. D. Brazil, Nannie B. Dozier and Maxine Barton and great-grandson, Gunner Riley Sims.
Survivors include her husband of 63 years, Willie Gene Ferguson; daughters, Cherrie Sims (William) and Brenda Stevens (Michael); son, Keith Ferguson (Mariah); seven grandchildren, Alisha Sims Eaves (Chad), Benjamin Sims (Sherry), Matthew Sims, Harley Bowers (Dylan), Triston Stevens, Brian Ferguson (Brooke) and Faith Junkin (Caleb); three great-grandchildren, Kamden Sims, Jakob Eaves and Edwin Eaves and a number of nieces and nephews
Joyce was born March 4, 1940 in Fayette County, Alabama to the late Riley Brazil and Daisy Mae Sprinkle Brazil. She was a homemaker, former employee of Westinghouse and a member of New Salem Baptist Church.
Honorary Pallbearers are her grandsons, members of New Salem Baptist Church and
the Senior Adult Sunday School Class.
