Joyce Elaine Ming Jenrette, age 73, of Columbus, MS passed away November 17, 2022 at her residence. Funeral services will be 11:00 am Wednesday, November 23, 2022 at Skelton Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Melvin Mordecai officiating. Burial will follow in Greenhill Memorial Gardens in Reform with Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing. Visitation will be one hour prior and immediately following the service at the funeral home.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Kermit Lee Jenrette, Jr.; her parents and brother, Prentiss Elmer Ming.
Survivors include her daughters, Carla J. Craig (Billy) and Gwen Brantley (Richey); sister, Nancy Prestridge; three brothers, Duane Ming (Lily), Alton Ming (Judy) and Shelby Ming (Jeanie); six grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Joyce was born November 2, 1949 in Louisville, Mississippi to the late C. P. "Ted" Ming and Maggie Triplett Ming. She was a member of the Baptist faith and a retired RN at the VA Medical Center in Tuscaloosa, AL.
Honorary Pallbearers are Casey Jones, Stephen Jones, Frankie Jones and Bubba Boykin.
