Judy McDaniel Halbert, age 86, of Carrollton, AL died April 14, 2025 at her residence.  Funeral services will be 11:00 am Friday, April 18, 2025 at Carrollton Baptist Church with Rev. Shawn McDaniel and Rev. Robert Heard officiating.  Burial will be in Carrollton City Cemetery with Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing.  Visitation will be one hour prior and immediately following the service at the church.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Cecil E. McDaniel; her second husband, William Thomas Halbert; daughter, Connie Sue McDaniel Cameron; son, Benjamin Cecil McDaniel; her parents and brother, Charles Abston.
Survivors include her daughter, Kimberly Ann Hollis and husband, Aaron; sister, Dot Barrentine; brothers, J. T. Abston (Frances), Tommy Abston (Janith) and Richard Abston (Betty Carol); eight grandchildren, Shawn McDaniel (April), Michael Strawn (Lauren), Susan LaGrone (Doug), Dillan McDaniel (Lauren), Blake Hollis, Brandon Hollis (Kaylee), Bryan McDaniel and Lucas McDaniel; nine great-grandchildren, Noah McDaniel, Eli McDaniel, Bryleigh McDaniel, Charlie McDaniel, Cambry McDaniel, Cameron LaGrone, Christian LaGrone, Libby Strawn and Harlan Strawn; special caregivers, Mary Wright, Elysia Miller and daughter, Lee Ann Fields and Debbie Strickland.
Judy was born December 20, 1938 in Greene County, Alabama to the late Charles Norman Abston and Mary Alice Bambarger Abston.  She was a member of Carrollton Baptist Church and a retired dietician for Pickens County Medical Center.  Judy was a member of the Quilting Club, Golden Circle Sunday School Class, Operation Christmas Club and the Senior Citizen Center.
Pallbearers will be Hilary Russell, Buddy Kirk, Brock White, Butch McCafferty, Ronnie Somerville and Wade Goodman.
Honorary Pallbearers are Dr. Parker and staff, Amedisys Hospice, Aliceville Manor Nursing Home and staff and members of Carrollton Baptist Church.
