GUIN Katherine Johnson "Sis" Sanders Tilley, age 97, of Guin and formerly of Gordo, died November 27, 2013, at Sunset Manor Nursing Home. Services will be held today at 3 p.m. November 29, 2013, at Gordo First Baptist Church with Rev. Scott McQueen officiating. Burial will follow in Gordo City Cemetery with Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing. Visitation will be one hour prior to service at the church.

She is preceded in death by her husbands, Clarence Adolph Sanders, Sr. and Woodrow "Clabber" Tilley; her grandson, Scott Duncan; her parents; and her brother, Pete Johnson.

Survivors are her daughter, Jimmy Loy Sanders Duncan (Tim), of Cincinnati, Ohio; her son, Clarence Adolph "Jack" Sanders (Barbara), of Guin; four grandchildren, Donna Sanders Smithwick, Katherine Duncan Foley (Brian), Elizabeth Duncan Scruggs, and Steven Sanders (Tammy); and 15 great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Tilley was born August 15, 1916, in Pickens County to the late Ferman Johnson and Dessa Carter Johnson. She was a member of Gordo First Baptist Church, a retired secretary for Gordo First Baptist Church, and a life long resident of Pickens County.

Pallbearers are Steve Sanders, Hunter Sanders, Jacob Sanders, Brian Foley, A.J. Foley, Malcolm Comerford, Jerome Hickman, and Glenn Pate.
