Kathie Fleming Black, age 76, of Northport, AL passed away July 10, 2021 at her residence. Funeral services will be 12:00 noon Wednesday, July 14, 2021 at Skelton Funeral Home Chapel in Reform with Rev. David Blakney officiating. Burial will follow in Greenhill Memorial Gardens with Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing. Visitation will be one hour prior and immediately following the service at the funeral home.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Freddy Fleming.
Survivors include her husband of 57 years, Hubert Black; daughter, Kimberly Gilliam (Jimmy); son, David Black (Melinda); four grandchildren, Chad Black, Amanda Black, Kayla Smith and Chase Gilliam and four great-grandchildren, Everly Smith, Harper Gilliam, Aliyah Gray and Makyla Dobbins.
Kathie was born June 6, 1945 in Dothan, Alabama to the late Rex Fleming and Minnie Earl Henson Fleming. She was a retired employee of the VA Medical Center in Tuscaloosa with 33 years of service.
Pallbearers will be Ryan Black, Buddy Ammons, Terry Black, Chad Black, Chase Gilliam and Davis Shirley.
Honorary Pallbearers are Dr. Stephen Browne and Alabama Hospice of Tuscaloosa.
