Kay Smith McAteer, age 64, of Carrollton, AL died July 6, 2025 at DCH Regional Medical Center in Tuscaloosa.    Funeral services will be 11:00 am Friday, July 11, 2025 at Skelton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dr. Tim Alexander officiating.  Burial will be in Carrollton City Cemetery with Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing.  Visitation will be one hour prior and immediately following the service at the funeral home.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Survivors include her sons, Cody McAteer and Robby McAteer (Jordan); three brothers, Robert E. Smith, Jr. (Rebecca), Mike Smith (Tammy) and David Smith (Vanessa); granddaughter, Lana Grace McAteer and a number of nieces and nephews.
Kay was born April 11, 1961 in Reform, Alabama to the late Robert Earl Smith, Sr. and Doris Ann Lancaster Smith.  She was a member of Carrollton United Methodist Church and a retired employee of the University of Alabama.
