Kay Junkin Perkins, age 63, of Gordo, AL died May 7, 2026 at Hospice of West Alabama in Tuscaloosa. Funeral services will be 11:00 Monday, May 11, 2026 at Emmanuel Baptist Church with Bro. Bruce Boswell and Bro. David Westmoreland officiating. Burial will be in Gordo City Cemetery with Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing. Visitation will be one hour prior and immediately following the service at the church.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother-in-law, William “Ken” Elmore and father-in-law, Frank Perkins, Jr.

Survivors include her husband of 38 years, Kevin Perkins; daughter, Rebecca Shaw and husband, Tim; sister, Debbie Junkin Elmore and two grandchildren, Anna Kate Shaw and Gracie Leigh Shaw.

Kay was born September 21, 1962 in Tuscaloosa, Alabama to the late Leon Junkin and Peggy Hall Junkin. She was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church and a retired City Clerk for the Town of Gordo.

Pallbearers will be Jason Mullenix, Craig Martin, Craig Patterson, Todd Hall, Johnny Stephenson, Stuart Albea, Jacob Price and Daryl Moss.

Honorary Pallbearers are Emmanuel Baptist Church family and Gordo High School Class of 1980.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials to Hospice of West Alabama, 3851 Loop Road, Tuscaloosa, AL 35404.
