PALMETTO, ALA. - Kittie Jean Propst Cooper, age 86, of Palmetto, Ala., died December 19, 2017, at her residence. Services will be 2:00 p.m. today December 21, 2017, at Unity Grove United Methodist Church with Rev. Bobbye J. Hagler, and Rev. Joyce Snyder officiating. Burial will follow in Unity Grove United Methodist Church Cemetery with Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing. Visitation will be one hour prior and immediately following the service.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Leon Cooper; her parents; brothers, Samuel Propst, KB Propst, Jack Propst, and Johnny Propst; and sister, Alree Propst House.
Survivors include her daughter, Teresa Cooper Mordecai and husband, Mike; grandson, Cody Mordecai (Morri); granddaughter, Breanne Mordecai Lolley (Ryan); and great- granddaughters, Liv Mordecai, Scarlett Lolley and Lydia Lolley.
Mrs. Cooper was born October 13, 1931 in Pickens County, Ala. to the late Ulie V. Propst and Cappi Earnestine Propst. Kittie was a member of Unity Grove United Methodist Church in Palmetto, Alabama.
She was retired from the State of Alabama District Attorney's Office. Kittie had served on the Palmetto Volunteer Fire Department for over 30 years and was a proud supporter of the Unity Grove Campground her whole life.

Pallbearers will be Pat Irvin, Jeff Kyles, James H. "Bubba" Kelley, Herbert House, Eddie Propst, Adam House and Andrew House.
