She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Lancaster; her daughter, Jeri Lancaster Baines; and parents, Eulie and Lucille Reynolds. Survivors include her daughter, Jolene Guy (Roy) of Northport; son, Dale Lancaster (Robin) of Gordo; sisters, Betty Evans of Charlotte, North Carolina, Nancy Speed of Tuscaloosa and Cherry Tolliver of Grayson, Georgia; brother Buss Reynolds (Patsy) of Gordo; three grandchildren, Brandon Guy (Skye) of Northport, John Lancaster (Morgan) of Auburn, and Reid Lancaster of Auburn; and three step-grandchildren, Leslie Guy Moyer (Mark), Jason Guy (Dee) and Allison Traweek (Jeremy), all of Northport. Lala was born in the Zion Community of Pickens County, Alabama to the late Eulie and Lucille Reynolds. She was a graduate of Gordo High School Class of 1953. She was a charter member of Zion Community Baptist Church where she served as the church secretary from its beginning in 1997 until her health began to decline. She was previously a member of Crossroads Baptist Church and retired from Weyerhaeuser Company in Millport in 1995 after 25 years of service. Lala loved her family, but most of all she loved her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and spent her whole life in service to him. After retirement, she spent time keeping her grandchildren and serving her family, friends and neighbors taking them to doctor's appointments, shopping or filling whatever need anyone had. Even as she struggled with her health, she never stopped trying to help others and serving the Lord. She will be greatly missed. Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Jason Guy, Brandon Guy, John Lancaster and Reid Lancaster. Honorary pallbearers are her nieces, nephews, former Weyerhaeuser co-workers, Gordo High School Class of 1953, friends and neighbors of the Zion Community, Crossroads Baptist Church, Zion Community Baptist Church, employees and staff of Heritage Health Care Center, Hospice of West Alabama, Dr. Ross Vaughn and staff of Tuscaloosa Internal Medicine, Betty O'Bryant and Phil Robinson.
