GORDO | Larry Wesley Hudson, age 71, of Gordo, died October 19, 2014, at Forest Manor Nursing Home. Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, October 21, 2014, at Skelton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Henry Trull and Rev. Herb Campbell officiating. Burial will follow in Caines Ridge Baptist Church Cemetery in Fayette County, Ala. with Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing. The body will lie in state one hour prior to services at the funeral home.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Donnie Hudson.
Survivors include his wife, Julia McMahon Hudson; daughter, Karen Kizzire (Phillip); son, Jeffrey Hudson (Tanya); sisters, Ann Robertson and Bonnie Taylor (Jim); brothers, Leonard Hudson (Sherry), Rayford Hudson (Cathy), and Kenneth Hudson (Michelle); three grandchildren, Natalie, Phil and Danielle; two great-grandchildren, Lane and Sophia; and special aunt, Nellie Hamner.
Larry was born January 2, 1943 in Tuscaloosa County, Alabama to the late Wesley Hudson and Ruth Husley Hudson. He was a member of Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church, a truck driver and he also served as a minister.
Honorary pallbearers are Rev. Ralph Smith, employees of Forest Manor Nursing and employees of Hospice of West Alabama.
