REFORM | Laura Hammond Wilkins, age 92, of Reform, died March 25, 2015, at Baptist Memorial Hospital. Services will be 4 p.m. Sunday, March 29, 2015, at Unity Grove United Methodist Church with Rev. Bobbye Hagler officiating. Burial will follow in church cemetery with Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing. Visitation will be Saturday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. The body will lie in state 30 minutes prior to services at the church.She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Rayford Leroy Hammond.Survivors include sons, Harold K. ""Harry"" Wilkins Jr. of Reform, Ala. and Robert Hammond Wilkins (Joy) of Pine Mountain, Ga.; sisters, Modell Hammond Turnipseed of Aliceville, Ala.; granddaughter, Courtney Joanne Wilkins; nieces and nephews, David L. Turnipseed II., James ""Jim"" Wyman Turnipseed, Laurie Turnipseed Newman, Mark Rayford Hammond, Paul Leroy Hammond, and Gail L. Hammond.Mrs. Wilkins was born April 6, 1922 in the Palmetto community of Alabama to the late Wyman Wexford Hammond and Laura Pansy Sibley Hammond. She was a member of Unity Grove United Methodist Church, a retired home economics teacher for Pickens County School System with 39 years of service and a life long resident of Pickens County.
