Lawrence H. "Larry" Sanders, age 96, of Tuscaloosa, AL and formerly of Gordo, died October 11, 2025 at Heritage Health Care Center. Graveside services will be 10:00 am Tuesday, October 14, 2025 at Gordo City Cemetery with Bro. Dan O'Mary officiating and Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing.  Visitation will follow the service at the graveside.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Ozelle Sanders; his parents; three brothers; two sisters and grandchild, Dusti Pritchett.

Survivors include his daughter, Wendy Jeter (Jim); sons, Mitchell Sanders (Kim) and Chris Sanders; two sisters, Rene Pinto and Sue Sanders; three grandchildren, Jodi Fields (Patrick), Cory Sanders (Abby) and Andrew Sanders (Carly) and six great-grandchildren.

Larry was born May 21, 1929 in Benevola, Alabama to the late Truman H. Sanders and Annie Mae McAteer Sanders.  He was a member of Gordo First Baptist Church, a retired mechanic and a veteran of the United States Army serving as a medic in the Korean War.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials to Gideons International.
