Lemuel Charles "Chip" McDaniel, age 72, of Gordo, AL died April 17, 2026 at his residence.  Memorial services will be 6:00 pm Thursday, April 23, 2026 at Skelton Funeral Home Chapel with Sister Mae Bell Hannah officiating and Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Ernie McDaniel.
Survivors include his wife, Susie Sutton McDaniel of Gordo; daughters, Sara McDaniel (Chad) of Toledo, Ohio and April Johnson (Daniel) of Gordo; son, Dustin McDaniel (Megan) of Gordo and two grandchildren, Austin Johnson and Ryland McDaniel.
Mr. McDaniel was born February 18, 1954 at Riverside Hospital in Toledo, Ohio to the late Lemuel Howard McDaniel and Lois Peart McDaniel.  He was a member of Kennie Hill Church of God, a retired cabinet maker, a retired employee of Z F Industries and a veteran of the United States Navy.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials to Kennie Hill Church, 3  Kennie Hill Road, Gordo, AL 35466.
