Lendel Reynolds Shepherd, age 92, of Gordo, AL passed away June 1, 2021 at her residence. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 5, 2021 at Hannah Church with Rev. Joe Acker officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing. Visitation will be 6:00 - 7:30 pm Friday, June 4, 2021 at the funeral home.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Rufus Shepherd; son, William Earl "Bill" Shepherd; granddaughter, Traci Ralston; sister, Jewell Peeples and her parents.
Survivors include her daughter, Patricia Shepherd Hollingsworth (Dwight); three sons,
Jerry Shepherd (Susanne), Mike Shepherd (Susan) and Donald Shepherd (Jenna); daughter-in-law, Sharron Shepherd; sister, Betty Huffman; nine grandchildren, Patrick Hollingsworth, Trenton Shepherd (Leah), Melanie Hollingsworth Brown (RJ), Jarrett Shepherd (Jessica), Madison Shepherd, Ashley Crowder (Jake), Macy Baumgarten (Jordan), Alex Shepherd (Audrey) and Keena Moses (Ryan); grandson-in-law, Phillip Ralston; nine great-grandchildren; a number of nieces and nephews and special caregiver, Brenda Hannah.
Lendel was born February 8, 1929 in Pickens County, Alabama to the late William Lonzo Reynolds and Estie Lee Walters Reynolds. She was a member of Hannah Church in Gordo and a retired employee of Westinghouse.
Her grandchildren will serve as Pallbearers.
Honorary Pallbearers are Lineville and Gordo communities, members of Hannah Church and special friends, Jerome and Gwen Sullivan and Frank and June Elmore.
